Maggie Grace is an American actress who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her most famous roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character from ABC's Lost series, and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. After the divorce of her parents, she left Worthington Ohio in order to settle in Los Angeles. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first part as the title character in the online video show Rachel's Room in 2001. The film for television Murder in Greenwich where she played a 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination of a Young Artist Award. In 2004 Grace was cast as Shannon Rutherford in the television show Lost in which she was a main actor for the first two seasons winning a Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the cast of the ensemble. Grace was dropped from the series in 2005 to pursue a more significant role in movies, and had a role opposite Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. She starred on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 as well as Taken (2008) with Liam Neeson. The actress reprised her character in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern version to the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Gyllenhaal was the writer and director of her debut film The Lost Daughter in 2021. The thriller that dealt with psychological issues was awarded the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. The film was also nominated for the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
