Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian TV presenter and actress. Her most well-known work is the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her professional career in showbiz early. She played lead roles in television dramas as early at the age of 16. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall her character as the Secretary Traudljunge of Adolf Hitler was also critically acclaimed. Other Oscar nominated films featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra is known for her participation in a variety of notable projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. One of these is the British biographical film Control, Greek drama film The Dust of Time, and the French historic miniseries Napoleon. She also served in the jury panel of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
