Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she moved to Oxfordshire when she was five, she enrolled in The Dragon School. Emma was only six when she made the decision to make it as an actress. She trained for several years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a Part-time theatre school located in Oxford where she was taught singing and acting. Her performances had been in a variety of Stagecoach or school shows before she reached the age of ten. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the film adaption from J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel was cast for the very first time in 1999. Casting agents found Emma through her Oxford theater teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone as well as Ron Weasley told Emma after eight auditions that she had been cast in these roles. Emma was chosen to play alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. The debut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's film debut. The film was also the most well-received film of the year. Opening Saturday and Sunday revenues were record-breaking. Critics have praised both the film and performances of its three major young actors. The highly distributed British publication The Daily Telegraph called her performances admirable. Emma's performance was nominated, and she won five awards later for the movie.
